Seaver students may not take the conflict management courses (COM 441, 442, 443, 444) unless they have been admitted to the certificate program. The theory courses are open to all students.
Seaver Students: The conflict management courses are upper-division elective credit. The other courses are regular Seaver courses and fulfill the same requirements as they do in the academic year.
Non-Seaver Students: The courses in the certificate program are accredited undergraduate courses. It is up to your home institute to decide how these courses will count toward your degree.
No. Students may choose from another course in the curriculum so that they fulfill the 14-16 unit certificate requirement.
You will need to have 60 units completed by the time the program begins. Please note on your application the number of units you have in-progress.
You may request an exception. Write a brief paragraph explaining your request, include any course work that you feel should be equivalent.
Students who have opted to live on campus can ship luggage and other belongings to the university warehouse prior to check-in. These items can be shipped up to thirty days before you arrive. Pepperdine's warehouse will not deliver shipped items to your room. Packages must have in bold lettering, "Please Hold For Student (Last Name), (First Name)" on the mailing label. These packages must be picked-up at the warehouse facility during regular business hours. Mondays - Fridays, 8am - 5pm. Since you will be checking into Housing on a Sunday, please do not ship items that you will need before the warehouse opens on Monday morning.
