Technology Resources

WaveNet

WaveNet is the University portal that provides members of the Pepperdine University community with access to a variety of services and information sources. Students can use WaveNet to register for classes, check grades, access email, build group portals, make payments to student accounts, access over 85 library research databases, and much more. Please call the Help Desk at (310) 506-HELP (4357) or HELP from any on campus phone for assistance to log on to WaveNet.

Blackboard

Blackboard is a system of Web-based course resources. Many faculty members will use a Blackboard course portal to share learning materials, communicate, and collaborate. Students can electronically share content and access course resources such as syllabi, assignments, research materials, presentations, and illustrations. Students can access Blackboard course resources from any Internet connection.

Campus Computing

In addition to classrooms equipped with the latest computer projection and presentation technologies, Pepperdine University has 15 general and division-specific labs throughout the campus to meet the demands of a technology-enriched curriculum. Pepperdine also has two high-tech cyber cafes; The Sandbar Cafe is located on the second floor of the Tyler Campus Center, and the Wavelength Cafe is located on the second and third floors of the Center for Communication and Business building.

Card Services

The University's student identification card is used to access a variety of resources at Pepperdine University. This multipurpose identification card is utilized for tracking Convocation attendance, checking out library resources, along with acting as a debit card for several services, such as dining, photocopying, and computer lab printing.

Photocopy Services

Information Technology provides a full-service copy center within Payson Library. Black and white and full-color photocopying, printing, binding, lamination, transparencies and outgoing faxes are among the many services provided. Telephone Services

Pepperdine University operates a feature rich telephone system. Each residence includes two live telephone jacks which will accommodate any standard phone (cordless phones not recommended), answering machine, fax machine, or modem provided by the student.  This line may be used to make free local calls. Local toll and long distance calls can be made using a Pepperdine Billing Number or any standard calling card. Please contact the Computer Store for more information on how to obtain a Pepperdine Billing Number.
