Computer Information Hardware Recommendation
Pepperdine University is at the forefront of technology and
education, and as new students can take advantage of
all that is offered in the pursuit of a degree. With each
passing day, technology has an increasingly significant impact on the
classroom and the university, and students find computers and the
Internet useful in pursuing the university's sophisticated curriculum.
Pepperdine University recommends a wireless notebook computer for
all Seaver College students. The mobility of a notebook computer,
on-line access to library research databases, classroom
presentations, e-mail, on-line class discussions, and a constant
connection with the university’s wireless network, are among the many
reasons that a wireless notebook computer is a valuable tool.
In an effort to prepare students for the professional marketplace,
the Business Administration Division has adopted a notebook
computer requirement for incoming students. Students planning to
major in Accounting, Business Administration, or International
Business are required to own a Windows-based wireless notebook
computer that meets minimum specifications, outlined below. For more
detailed information about this requirement, please visit the
Business Administration Division Web site at
http://seaver.pepperdine.edu/business.
To take full advantage of the technology resources available at
Pepperdine University, please review Seaver College's
minimum system specifications. All students are encouraged to own
a computer that meets these minimums.
