Parents Program

Family Weekend allows you as a family member of a Seaver College student to spend some quality time with your son or daughter on campus. It’s a great opportunity to participate in campus life and enjoy a weekend getting caught up with your son or daughter.

Some highlights this year include:

Family Weekend Lecture Series
Join faculty, staff and students for unique and powerful short lectures. We’ll cover topics from global service to Anthropology - you won’t want to miss it! Come and meet the talented members of the Pepperdine community and discuss topics they are passionate about.

Blue & Orange Madness
The most well-attended student event of the year, Madness kicks off the 2008-2009 NCAA basketball season as the Waves basketball teams hit the court in Firestone Fieldhouse.

Grandparents Program
Grandparents are an integral part of a student’s life and the Seaver Parents Council has some wonderful ways to get grandparents involved. We’ll have a reception especially for you to meet other grandparents and members of the Seaver Parents Council. We are looking forward to meeting you!

Camp Pepperdine
Family Weekend isn’t just for parents and grandparents – it’s for siblings too! We have plenty of activities planned just for the younger family members of Seaver students. Bring the kids along and let them join in the fun!

In addition, you will have the opportunity to meet President Andrew Benton as he opens his home for a President's Reception. Also, join us for the annual Madness event (a spirited event kicking off the fall sports season), see a play in Smothers Theater, visit classes, attend an athletic event, and spend some unscripted time with your son or daughter. We look forward to hosting you in Malibu!
