New Student Orientation

New Student Orientation Leader (100 positions)
New Student Orientation (NSO) Leaders provide assistance to the incoming students while supporting Pepperdine’s Christian mission.  NSO Leaders provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to their incoming peers during the five day orientation in August. Leaders help students with move in, assist with informational sessions, participate in new student activities and are available to answer general questions. NSO Leaders must attend training sessions prior to NSO and are required to serve through the duration of NSO. An application and Faculty/Staff recommendation are required.

New Student Orientation Coordinator (8 positions)
New Student Orientation (NSO) Coordinators are required to provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to the Orientation Leaders as they prepare them to serve the incoming students during the five day orientation in August. Coordinators are responsible for elements of orientation planning, counselor training, informational sessions and activity creation. This position requires dedication, a servant heart and a commitment to Pepperdine’s Christian mission. Students must have served as an Orientation Leader in order to be eligible to apply for the position of Coordinator and must be available for training prior to NSO. An application and Faculty/Staff recommendation are required

First Year Mentor Information.
The purpose of the FYS Mentor is to build community through engaging in one-on-one meetings, planning group activities, leading discussions, and serving as a resource for first year students
