STUDENT ACTIVITIES
Student Activities is a unit within the Student Affairs
Division that is committed to the collaboration of individuals,
departments, and organizations to strengthen learning and
leadership on campus. Student Activities creates and supports
meaningful, co-curricular experiences that foster community,
enhance learning, and encourage development. Our programs include
Convocation, Student Ministries, Intramurals, Volunteer Projects,
Student Organizations, Student Government, social activities, and
special events such as Songfest and Family Weekend
CAREER CENTER
The Seaver College Career Center is committed to aiding
students and alumni. Students services include the career
exploration process, the selection of a major and the development
of a career plan, as well as helping learn how to package
themselves effectively and market their degree to employers and
graduate schools. Through career counseling and advising
appointments; self-assessment testing; resume, interviewing and
job search workshops; and events such as the monthly Career
Exploration Round Tables, twice-yearly Career Fairs and the
Etiquette Dinners, students can experience a full range of
activities designed to facilitate their career development. In
addition, students also have the opportunity to interview in the
Career Center interviewing rooms for employment their senior year
with recruiters thorough the On-Campus Interview Program. Alumni
may participate in personal counseling and coaching, check job
listings on the Pepperdine and MonsterTrak websites, receive
resume and cover letter review, post resumes on the alumni
website, attend professional association seminars sponsored by
Pepperdine, take assessment tests, market their businesses, and
network with other alumni in their fields of interest or
vocation.

HOUSING AND COMMUNITY LIVING
Housing and Community Living seeks to serve both undergraduate
and graduate students with excellence. Housing opportunities are
available both on campus, and off-campus in apartments and
private rooms for rent. We are committed to operate according to
guiding principles that include: Provide an environment that
nourishes intellectual versatility, spiritual vitality, emotional
wholeness and physical vigor; Welcome and value the richness of
individual diversity; Provide services in a consistent, efficient
and accurate manner, tempered with empathy and honesty; Train
staff that will model lives of character and integrity; Listen
with respect to student concerns and perspectives.
COUNSELING CENTER
Full or part-time students may seek counseling at the Student
Counseling Center. A nominal additional fee is charged for
psychiatric and/or nutritional consultations and for some
psychological tests. These fees are charged to the student's
account as a Health Service, and an insurance reimbursement form
is also available upon request. Students needing help with
personal, mental/emotional, learning, or behavioral difficulties
are encouraged to utilize these services. All information
disclosed in sessions is confidential and may not be revealed to
any individual without the student's written permission, except
where required by law.
HEALTH CENTER
The Student Health Center provides a wide variety of services
similar to any family practice office, including care for
respiratory problems, sports medicine, injuries, women's health,
dermatology, etc. The Health Center also administers the
immunization and travel medicine programs. The purpose of the
Health Center is to promote the good health of students through
diagnosis of illness and injury, treatment, education, and
consultation. It operates on the model of an ambulatory health
clinic during regular business hours. The staff of the Health
Center includes registered nurses, a physician assistant,
part-time Board Certified physicians, medical assistants, a
health educator, and administrative staff.
