LONDON RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM
FALL & SPRING 2008-2009

General Requirements: While studying in the
London Program all students must enroll in 15-18 units.
Due to
new UK immigration regulations, all students must have a minimum of
15 units each semester to participate.
Pre-requisites: Students must meet all
prerequisite requirements for each course they intend on taking
overseas. Waivers cannot be issued for students to take courses
without meeting prerequisite requirements. No exceptions will be

in IP with any questions.
Students will register for their Fall London courses online in
March during Fall 2008 registration. Students will register for
their Spring London courses online in November during Spring 2009
registration. Please check your Pepperdine email for your exact
registration time; and the International Programs website
http://seaver.pepperdine.edu/internationalprograms/ in March and
November for the course call numbers.
EACH SEMESTER:
• HUM 212 – Western Heritage II (3) (GE) Prerequisite:
HUM 111
• HUM 295 – The International Experience (0-1) CR/NC
grading only. An optional course designed to maximize the student's
international experience by providing opportunities to engage more
fully with the culture and to reflect more carefully on the
experience.
• HIST 390 – Modern History of the Middle East (4)
(GE Non-Western Cultures)
• ENG 380A – Modern Drama (4) (GE
Literature) This course includes attending London theatrical
performances.
• PE 190 – Beginning Equestrian
(1) CR/NC grading only. Requires the payment of an extra
fee.

PE 192 – Advanced Equestrian (1) CR/NC grading only.
Requires the payment of an extra fee.
• PE 191 – Individual Exercise (1) CR/NC grading only.
Requires the purchase of a gym membership.
• PE 196 - Weight Training (1) CR/NC grading only.

A spring semester educational field trip is part of this
program.
Classes normally meet 4 days a week. A long weekend for travel will be scheduled
in the Fall semester.
All courses offered depend upon the availability of qualified
faculty and other program activities depend upon qualified
personnel. The University contracts with scheduled air carriers and
local operators and travel dates may be changed in the case of armed
conflict, terrorist activity, natural disasters, strikes, or other
unforeseen circumstances. The International Programs Office will
always have the latest information concerning these programs.
