Prerequisite: Students must complete FRE 151 or its equivalent
by the end of the Spring 2007 semester to participate. Students
participating in the Spring Only 2008 semester must complete FRE 151
by the end of the Fall 2007 semester. The prerequisite for all
300-level FRE courses is 252. The prerequisite for all 400-level FRE
courses is the successful completion of one 300-level FRE course.
Students must meet all prerequisite requirements for each course
they intend on taking overseas. Waivers cannot be issued for
students to take courses without meeting prerequisite requirements.

General Requirements: While studying in the Lausanne Program
all students must enroll in 12-18 units including a French course
each semester for a letter grade.
Students will register for their Fall Lausanne courses online
in March during Fall 2008 registration. Students will register for
their Spring Lausanne courses online in November during Spring 2009
registration. Please check your Pepperdine email for your exact
registration time; and the International Programs website
http://seaver.pepperdine.edu/internationalprograms/ in March and
November for the course call numbers.
Purchase your textbooks before you go overseas.
Students are expected to have textbooks the first day of class.
Textbooks will be available at the Pepperdine bookstore in Malibu.
Students who participate in both the Fall and Spring
Semesters of this program can take the following to complete
their Foreign Language General Education Requirement:

student's international experience by providing opportunities to
engage more fully with the culture and to reflect more carefully on
the experience.

A spring semester educational field trip is part of this program.
Cost: Flat-rate tuition (12-18 units) is identical to that in
Malibu. Additionally, the International Programs Fee covers room and
board charges equivalent to those in Malibu, round-trip airfare, the
educational field trip, and other extra events and excursions.
Students live in the Pepperdine facility.
Classes normally meet 4 days a week. A long weekend for travel
will be scheduled in the Fall semester.
All courses offered depend upon the availability of qualified
faculty and other program activities depend upon qualified
personnel. The University contracts with scheduled air carriers and
local operators and travel dates may be changed in the case of armed
conflict, terrorist activity, natural disasters, strikes, or other
unforeseen circumstances. The International Programs Office will
always have the latest information concerning these programs.
