Prerequisites: 2.3 minimum GPA and 30 units by the end of
Spring 2008. The prerequisite for all 300-level FRE courses is
252. The prerequisite for all 400-level FRE courses is the
successful completion of one 300-level FRE course. Students
must meet all prerequisite requirements for each course they intend
on taking overseas. Waivers cannot be issued for students to take
courses without meeting prerequisite requirements. No exceptions

textbooks before you go overseas.
Students are expected to have textbooks the first day of class.
Textbooks will be available at the Pepperdine bookstore in Malibu.

other healthy activities. CR/NC grading only. Requires the
payment of an extra fee.
Location: Students will reside in a residential facility
in Lausanne taking advantage of the living/learning community
modeled after our other residential programs in Florence,
Heidelberg, and London. Lausanne is located in the French speaking
part of Switzerland on picturesque Lake Geneva, a few hours from the
Swiss Alps and 30 minutes from Geneva. It is home to the Olympic
headquarters and Museum. Lausanne is centrally located for easy
train access to all the major cities of Europe. Students can take a
bullet train to Paris in less than four hours.
Travel & Meals: Round-trip travel between LAX and
Lausanne on a group-flight is included in the program fee. Due to
the nature of this program, no Educational Field Trip is included;
however the IP Charge has been discounted accordingly.
Most meals will be provided.
Personnel: The Visiting Faculty member will be Darlene
Rivas. Mary Mayenfisch will be the Program
Director. Pepperdine local adjunct faculty members will teach the
other courses.
Cost: The tuition cost is $1,070 per unit, and each
student must take a minimum of 6 units. The International Programs
Charge of $4,900 covers orientations, airfare and transfers to and
from airports, room, most meals, a Eurail Pass, and
other program extras. Textbooks and personal costs, such as
individual weekend travel, are not included. Financial Aid is
available for eligible students. Please contact the
Office of Financial Assistance for more specific information.

* Schedules depend upon airline space availabilities and may
be changed. All courses and other program activities offered are
dependent upon availability of faculty who teach these courses. The
University contracts with scheduled air carriers and local operators
and travel dates may be changed in the case of armed conflict,
terrorist activity, natural disasters, strikes, or other unforeseen
circumstances. The International Programs Office will always have
the latest information concerning these programs.
