 LONDON INTERNSHIP
May 5– July 2, 2009
Prerequisites: 2.3 minimum GPA and 30 units by the end of Spring 09.
Students must meet all prerequisite requirements for each course
they intend on taking overseas. Waivers cannot be issued for
students to take courses without meeting prerequisite requirements.

Registration:
Students will register for their Summer IP courses online in Spring
after their contract signing. Summer course call numbers can be

Academic Program: Your resume will stand out with an
internship experience in London. Students will participate in
internships Monday - Thursday. Students take one internship course and
either ENG 380 or HIST 304 for a minimum of 8 units.

Textbooks:
Purchase your textbooks before you go overseas. Students are
expected to have textbooks the first day of class. Textbooks
will be available at the Pepperdine bookstore in Malibu.
Location: Students will reside in the newly renovated
London residential facility. All classes will be held in Pepperdine
University’s London facility, where students reside. The historic,
University-owned house at 56 Prince's Gate, located in London's West
End adjacent to Imperial College, is surrounded by the finest
collection of museums in the world. It houses 40 students, the
Visiting Faculty family, classrooms, a study center, computer
laboratory, student center, laundry facilities, and offices for the
program.
Travel: Round-trip travel between LAX and London on a
group-flight is included in the program fee. Students will receive a
$200 travel stipend towards their expenses traveling to and from
their internships. Due to the nature of this program, no Educational
Field Trip is included; however the IP Charge has been discounted
accordingly. Students who would like to travel on the Biblical
Sites Tour (July 5 - August 1) should apply
for the London Religion Program as well.
Meals: Most meals will be provided. Meals while
traveling on weekends will be the responsibility of the student.
Personnel: Dr. Fred Strache will supervise the Internships.
Long-term Pepperdine local adjunct faculty members will teach the
other courses.
Cost: The tuition cost is $1,135 per unit, and each
student must take a minimum of 8 units. There will be an additional International Programs
Charge of $5,180 which will cover orientations, airfare and transfers to and
from airports, room, most meals, the $200 travel stipend, and other
program extras. Textbooks and personal costs, such as individual
weekend travel, are not included. Financial Aid is available for
eligible students. Please contact the

Optional Add-on:
London Religion GE Program (July 5- August 1)
The London English Program may be combined with the Religion GE
Program with program dates being May 5- August 1.
Travel: The Religion GE program will tour Biblical sites.

Applying: Students who would like to participate in both
programs should apply to the combined London Internship/Religion
Program online, but only need to do one interview.
* Schedules depend upon airline space availabilities and may
be changed. All courses and other program activities offered are
dependent upon availability of faculty who teach these courses. The
University contracts with scheduled air carriers and local operators
and travel dates may be changed in the case of armed conflict,
terrorist activity, natural disasters, strikes, or other unforeseen
circumstances. The International Programs Office will always have
the latest information concerning these programs.
