Passport and Visa Information

  Passport: You must have a valid passport to participate in any of the International Programs. Your passport must be valid 6 months after your scheduled return date. If you do not have a passport, or your passport has expired, you should start the application process NOW! As soon as you receive it, give a copy to the International Programs Office.

Visa: Most programs now require a visa. In order to obtain a visa, you must have a passport! A U.S. passport can take 2 to 6 weeks to obtain. A visa is can also take up to 6 weeks to obtain.

2) 2 Passport-sized color photos

4) Identification (current, valid driver’s license or previous passport). Note that your Social Security card is not considered valid identification

VISA INFORMATION

Non-U.S. Passport holders may be required to have visas to enter some countries. It is the student's responsibility to make sure that he/she has all the necessary visas before he/she departs. Students must consult their local consulate or embassy for information regarding which countries require visas.

U.S. Citizens studying in Florence, Hong Kong, Lausanne (Academic Year only), London (Academic Year only) and Thailand are responsible for applying for student visas before departing the U.S. Students will receive more detailed information regarding visas once they are accepted to their respective program.
