Bachelor of Arts in Film Studies

The Film Studies major offers a series of interdisciplinary courses concerning the history, theory, aesthetics, and production of cinema. The major is designed for those students who plan to pursue an advanced degree in the discipline or certain professional careers. The critical reading and writing skills developed in the major can be useful for a broad range of career paths.

The major consists of 38-40 units.

Students should take either FILM 200 or FILM 111/311 before taking the 400-level courses.
