Graduates of Seaver College’s programs in English will be able to

1. Demonstrate knowledge of English and American literature, including that which has ethnic, gender, and cultural diversity.
2. Employ rhetorical, composition, or literary theory in papers that demonstrate the best practices in English.
3. Utilize sophisticated critical thinking, research, discussion, and presentation skills.
4. Explain the way that literature reflects and forms spiritual, moral, and ethical values.
