Outside Concentration: 12 upper division
units |
| Since it is desirable for a
professional writer to work from a broad background of
knowledge, the creative writing student is required to take an
outside concentration of twelve upper-division units, in
addition to the thirty-six units of the sequence. The
outside concentration may be taken in such complementary areas
as English literature, journalism, theatre, biology, economics,
or business. |
CRWR 203, JOUR 241 and general education courses should be
completed during the first two years. Students planning to
study in an international program during their sophomore year should
complete these courses, if possible, as well as the recommended
general education courses during their freshman year.
