| Follow these steps to ensure that
you are clear to graduate. Seaver College has one commencement
ceremony per year. This ceremony is held at the end of the
spring term. Students whose degrees were posted in the
previous fall or summer term are also eligible to participate.
Step 1: Be sure you meet these basic graduation
requirements for a master's degree:
- At least a 3.0 grade point average
- Successful completion of your thesis or research project (if
required)
- Graduate students are not allowed to participate in the
ceremony unless all requirements have been met including the
submission of the final 4 copies of their thesis (if applicable)
on cotton paper.
Step 2: Submit your Intent to Graduate
Complete and submit an
Intent to Graduate form
with a $65 check payable to Pepperdine University by:

- Soon after this deadline, the Graduate Program Office will audit
your degree progress to ensure that you are on track to graduate.
You will be notified if you have any requirements remaining. Please respond to this
notification promptly so that you can resolve any
discrepancies.
- The Intent to Graduate form must be submitted and the $65 graduation fee must be paid whether or not a student
participates in the commencement ceremony.
Step 3: Complete Application
Complete and sign your Application for Master's Degree (blue
card) which is available in your division's office or the Seaver
Dean's Office.
