Pepperdine University presents a public master class with classical guitarist Christopher Parkening once each semester in the Raitt Recital Hall on its campus in Malibu.

The fall, 2009 master classes will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2009 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, February 20, 2010 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m.

To audition as a performing student, please contact Professor Sara Banta. You will need to provide a brief biography with study and performance histories, and either an audio or video cassette with five to ten minutes of music (two to three appropriate pieces). If accepted, there is a $100.00 fee. For Pepperdine students, the fee is $10.00.

Performing student and auditor fees will be collected at the door on the day of the class. Please bring cash or check (no credit cards). There is a $25.00 fee to audit the class. For Pepperdine students, the fee is $10.00.

The Master Class is open to all registered individuals interested in studying the classical guitar with virtuoso Christopher Parkening. There will be a brief question and answer period immediately following the class.
