Determinants, was released in August 2006 on RAE Records. The
album includes works by J.S. Bach, Georg Philipp Telemann, Agustin
Barrios, Sergio Assad, and two original compositions by the Brandon
Louis Jones.
Jones
began to play the guitar at age 13 with an emphasis in rock and
jazz, and later switched over to study classical guitar at age 18.
His experience in rock and jazz guitar gives his classical works an
added sense of life and energy. After less than two years of
classical study, he was awarded a full scholarship to be Christopher
Parkening’s first private student in the new classical guitar
department at Pepperdine University, in the fall of 2002. Having
graduated from Pepperdine, Brandon is currently pursuing a Masters
degree in guitar performance at the University of Southern
California under the tutelage of Scott Tennant. He works as an
adjunct professor of guitar at Pepperdine University.
