Loan Exit Counseling Information

LOAN EXIT COUNSELING:

Federal Regulations require all students to complete Exit Loan Counseling Sessions when they graduate, withdraw or drop below half-time status.  Failure to complete Exit Loan Counseling Sessions will result in a hold being placed on your diploma and/or academic transcripts.

April 2008 Graduates - Your Exit Loan Packet will be available for pick up in the Office of Financial Assistance the week of April 7th.

If you will be enrolled at least half-time status for the Summer 2008 semester, you do not need to complete your Loan Exit Counseling now. You will be notified to complete your Loan Exit Counseling when you are no longer enrolled at least half-time status.

STAFFORD LOAN EXIT COUNSELING:

Click here to complete your Stafford Loan Exit Counseling Session Online (this site provided by USA Funds). The OpenNet system is the same online system that most students use to apply for their Stafford Loan. If you have problems with your OpenNet user ID and password, please contact Sallie Mae at 888-272-5543.  Please note that this Exit Counseling session refers to the terms of the Federal Stafford loan program.  If you consolidated your Federal Stafford loans, the terms explained in the counseling session may not apply to your consolidated loan.  Please contact your consolidation lender for specific loan repayment terms.

PERKINS, PURL, PARSONS AND ELKINS LOAN EXIT COUNSELING:

Click here to complete your Perkins or Institutional Loan Exit Counseling session online (this site provided by ECSI).  ECSI pin numbers for December, 2007, graduates and instructions for the online exit counseling will be sent to the student's Pepperdine email account during the week of December 3, 2007.  If you have any questions regarding your PIN number, please contact Educational Computer Services, Inc. (ECSI), your billing servicer, at 888-549-3274.

If you do not know your loan totals, you can access your federal loan (Stafford and Perkins) account information online by clicking here or by calling 1-800-4-FED-AID. This database does not include any Institutional or Private loan amounts.

Please note that we are available for your questions after you complete your Exit Counseling session online.  If you would like to email your questions, you may do so by clicking here.   If you would like to speak with someone directly, please contact the Office of Financial Assistance at 310-506-4301 during regular business hours.
