Educational Financing for Students
The lenders below are intended to be a resource for students
seeking educational loans.
There are many other lenders to choose from. You are not
obligated to choose one of the lenders listed below. You may select any lender of
your choice. Your are advised to independently research various
lenders. Each lender listed below is reviewed and evaluated regularly, and
no less than annually, by the Financial Assistance Office.
Questions to ask a lender:
- Do you charge an origination fee?
- How do I earn any interest rate or principal balance reduction benefits?
- What do I have to do to keep my benefits?
- What percentage of your customers qualify for these benefits?
These lenders were selected based on products, pricing, processing and
customer service with no one single factor being determinative.
- Products- Educational loan resources for students and parents that are fair,
competitive, accessible and tailored to the education needs of borrowers
- Pricing- Interest rates, origination, guarantee and processing fees, if any.
Borrower benefits during the in-school and repayment periods.
- Processing- Timely and efficient processing of loans, including convenience
in the application process for borrowers, and for the institution. Customer service
provided during the initial loan process.
- Customer Service- Service provided to the student and parent borrowers and
the university, from initial contact of the lender throughout the lifetime of the loan
repayment period. Excellent customer service and reliability is a prerequisite and a
requirement for our lenders.
CitiAssist Global Loan - Citibank, as part of its loan offerings to
Pepperdine University, Seaver College, provides less credit-worthy students who
have been refused a standard CitiAssist Loan the opportunity to apply for a
CitiAssist Global Loan as long as funding is available. Please note that loans
to less credit-worthy borrowers may come with less favorable terms, including
higher interest rates and/or higher origination fees. Such loans may be
appropriate only in certain circumstances, and are
normally offered on a one-time basis.
Gate Loans - Pepperdine University, Seaver College, participates in the Gate
Loan Program, under which the University guarantees a portion of the loans sold
pursuant to the program and participates in a trust pool with other schools.
The University has an equity interest in the pool which, depending on its
performance, may result in a return to the University.

Plus Loan Pre-Application Form and fax the completed form to the Office of Financial
