Educational Loan Lenders 2008-2009
The lenders listed below are intended to be a resource for
students seeking educational loans.
There are many other lenders to choose from. You
are not obligated to choose one of the lenders listed below. You may
select any lender (bank or credit union) that processes student loans. You
are advised to independently research various lenders. Each lender listed
below is reviewed and evaluated regularly and no less than annually, by the
Financial Assistance Office.
Questions to ask a lender:
- Are there any fees associated with the loan? If so will they be deducted from the
loan disbursement or added to the principal loan amount?
- How do I earn repayment benefits?
- What do I have to do to keep my repayment benefits?
- What percentage of your customers qualify for your repayment benefits?
- When and how will my interest rate be disclosed to me?
- How long can I defer payments on the loan if I decide to go to Graduate school?
These lenders were selected based on products1, pricing2, processing3 and
customer service4 with no one single factor being determinative.
