General Information

The decision to invest in a quality education is probably one of the most important decisions you and your family will make.  At Pepperdine, we believe that your college choice is usually based on the school’s educational philosophy, the quality of academic programs, and the various extracurricular opportunities available to you outside the classroom.  We also recognize that college costs and finances are important factors and play a significant role in your college choice.

Education is an investment that will last a lifetime.  Although the cost of a private education may seem expensive, financial assistance programs can make private education accessible to students from families with a wide range of economic backgrounds.

v    Approximately 75 percent of Pepperdine students receive some form of financial assistance every year.  Typically all financial assistance packages contain some loan offers. Some packages may consist of all loans.

v    University grant funds are limited and priority for these funds is given to students who have the strongest academic records, as defined by the grade point average and college entrance exam scores.

v    Financial assistance files must be complete (FAFSA and signed federal tax return(s), including all schedules and W-2’s) by the February 15 priority deadline in order to be considered for university grant funds.

v    Academic scholarships are awarded to newly admitted students that qualify.

v    Students are given a comparable financial package each year provided that there is no significant change in a family’s income or assets, marital status, or number in college.

The primary responsibility for funding your education is placed with you and your family.  Financial assistance helps to bridge the gap between the cost of education and the financial resources of your family.
