Financial Assistance

Pepperdine University 2012-13 FInancial Assistance Process

INSTRUCTIONS FOR RETURNING STUDENTS ONLY

Deadlines:

Please click here to review the various deadlines of which you need to be aware as you complete the financial assistance application process.

Step 1:  Complete the 2012-13 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

The 2012-13 FAFSA is available via the internet at www.fafsa.gov.  The priority deadline is February 15 to continue to be considered for need-based aid.  Need-based aid includes but is not limited to Federal Work Study, Seaver Trust Grant, Perkins Loan, etc.  If you lost your Personal Identification Number (PIN) go to www.pin.ed.gov to retrieve it. If you have any questions about the progress of your application, please call FAFSA directly at (800) 433-3243 or (319) 337-5655.

Step 2:  2012-13 Additional Information

This section is only for those students selected for Verification.

Only Students Selected for Verification should submit additional documents which will be listed in your "To Do List" by mid March.  Review your "To Do List" often because verification items are subject to change.

Priority Deadline is April 15 for submitting your Verification documents.

Please note important information below:

  • Your federal and state aid will not be awarded until your Verification documents are complete
  • Your prompt response is required if additional documentation is necessary.  Failure to complete verification may result in cancellation of your federal aid and state aid.
  • Submit your verification documents as soon as possible, but not later than October 15.
  • Any changes in your financial assistance due to Verification will be updated on WaveNet.

Other forms/documentation that may be required include:

  • Income and Expense Statement
  • Federal Tax Transcript (complete form 4506-T)
  • Divorce decree or Legal separation documents

Failure to submit all required verification documents by the priority deadline may cause delays or cancellation of disbursement of federal and state financial assistance.  Finance charges accrue daily on past due balances.  If financial assistance is delayed or cancelled it is the students/parents responsibility to find other resources to pay all charges prior to the due date in order to avoid finance charges.
