The process for registering for an internship is different than it is for other classes. In order to receive academic credit for an internship, the internship must be approved. The Seaver Dean's office will register you once you have satisfactorily completed the steps listed below:
Be sure to review available funding opportunities below.
Step 1: Secure an internship
The Seaver College Career Center offers resources to assist with résumé preparation and your internship search. Be sure to take advantage of this valuable resource. Students majoring in communication should take advantage of the internship resources in the Communication Division. Contact Debbie Wideroe for more information.
If you are an international student, please take your internship forms to the Office of International Student Services (OISS) to obtain authorization in accordance with the Department of Homeland Security regulations regarding Curricular Practical Training (CPT.) Undergraduate students must have been lawfully enrolled on a full-time basis for one full academic year before engaging in CPT.
Step 2: Find an internship professor
In order to receive academic credit for an internship, you will need an internship professor. For assistance in finding an internship professor, please contact your division's office manager.
Step 3: Complete the forms

2 units = 90 hours
3 units = 135 hours
