Visiting Scholars Program

This initiative will permit each division to bring a leading scholar to campus for a two to three day visit on an every other year rotating basis. The divisions will select this person. The visiting scholar will lead seminars and hold meetings with faculty and students where they might suggest innovations in teaching, make curriculum suggestions, provide advice on faculty-student research or grant writing and encourage the formation of broader, extra-institutional collaborations. Division chairs should work with the Associate Dean for Research as they plan the arrangements for their visiting scholar.
