Dean's Research Grant

The Dean of Seaver College is offering grants ranging in amount up to approximately $1,500.  These grants will be awarded to faculty to fund needs directly related to research activity. This money may be applied to such research needs as equipment and/or supplies, statistical consulting, travel to libraries and/or collections, etc. Proposals should clearly specify how the money is to be used (include a separate detailed budget) and how it will advance the faculty member's research.  Proposals for this project as well as a current C.V. should be submitted to Katy Svennungsen in the Office of the Assistant Dean for Research (Mail Code 4280; or by email to katy.svennungsen@pepperdine.edu) by November 2, 2009.  Decisions will be made and notification letters sent out by January 1st.  Upon receiving an award letter, faculty may begin using the grant towards their research endeavors.  Any funds that are awarded must be used by July 15 of that same year.  If you have questions or concerns, please contact Katy at extension 6084 or by e-mail to katy.svennungsen@pepperdine.edu.
