Meet the Deans

Rick Marrs

Rick Marrs
Dean of Seaver College

Rick R. Marrs is Dean of Seaver College and Professor of Religion. His B.A and M.Div. are from Abilene Christian University. His Ph.D. is from The Johns Hopkins University. He has served as Chair of the Religion Division and Associate Dean of Seaver College. He came to Pepperdine in 1987 and became Dean of Seaver College in 2008.

 

Mark Davis

Mark Davis
Dean of Student Affairs

Mark Davis is Dean of Student Affairs. His B.A. and M.Div. are from Harding College. His Ph.D. is from Purdue University. He came to Pepperdine in 2002 as Dean of Student Affairs.

 

 

Constance Fulmer

Constance Fulmer
Associate Dean of Seaver College

Constance M. Fulmer is Associate Dean of Seaver College and Blanche E. Seaver Chair in English Literature. Her B.A. is from Lipscomb University; she has M.A. degrees from Harding University, the University of Alabama, and Vanderbilt. Her Ph.D. is from Vanderbilt University. She has served as Chair of the Humanities and Teacher Education Division and as Assistant Dean for Teaching. She came to Pepperdine in 1990 and became Associate Dean in 2009.

Charles Hall

Charles Hall
Dean of International Programs

Charles F. Hall is Dean of International Programs and Associate Professor of Sociology. His B.A. is from Mercer University. He has a M.R.E. degree from Golden Gate Theological Seminary, and an M.S. and Ph.D. from Purdue University. He came to Pepperdine in 2005 as Dean of International Programs.

 

Lee Kats

Lee B. Kats
Associate Dean for Research and Associate Provost for Research

Lee B. Kats is Associate Dean for Research, Associate Provost for Research, and Frank R. Seaver Chair in Natural Science. His B.A. is from Calvin College and his Ph.D. is from the University of Kentucky. He came to Pepperdine in 1990 and became Assistant Dean for Research in 2001.

 

Michael Truschke
Dean of Admission and Enrollment Management

Michael Trushke is Dean of Admission and Enrollment Management. His B.A. and MBA are from Pepperdine University. He came to Pepperdine in 1994 and became Dean of Admission and Enrollment Management in 2008.
