Pepperdine University's chapter of PRSSA was chosen to host a regional conference at the school's Malibu campus. The conference, entitled "The Real World: Southern California," offered a variety of educational sessions on many different aspects of public relations. Industry professionals from organizations like Disney, Jaguar, Quiksilver, Durazo Communications, and Make-A-Wish Foundation were invited to present on subject areas including multicultural public relations, entertainment, global, sports, and crisis communications, event planning, and integrated marketing communications.
