Contact Information The Career Ambassadors are located in the Seaver College Career Center, second floor of the Tyler Campus Center, Suite 210 (located above the caf). Please feel free to call or email us to make an appointment.
The Career Ambassador program is made up of trained upper-division students who can assist their peers with resume review, job or internship search, and direct students to all Career Center services. The Career Ambassadors are available most days during the school year for walk-in hours, or by appointment. All of these services are free of charge. Meet our Career Ambassadors! Jordan Grimwood
Jordan is a senior double majoring in German and International Studies. This is her second year as a Career Ambassador, and she loves spending time in the Career Center. Jordan is also the Vice President of Model United Nations, and plays the flute in the Pep Band at basketball games. She studied abroad in Heidelberg her sophomore year and dreams of returning to Germany. Until then you can find her reading textbooks at the beach.
Bud Davis
Bud is a Junior at Pepperdine University majoring in Rhetoric and Leadership and pursuing his Certificate in Conflict Resolution from the Straus Institute at Pepperdine's School of Law. As Job Specialist, he helps maintain CareerSpace to ensure students have ample opportunities for potential jobs and internships by collecting employer information and collaborating with Employer Relations. Danielle DeMaria
Danielle is a senior from Carmel, California majoring in Rhetoric and Leadership. After college, she hopes to go into the Sales, Marketing, or Public Relations fields of the hospitality industry. She has an eclectic culmination of work experience ranging from a river guide on the American River to a pizza maker, retail associate in a surf shop, office assistant for a Masonry company, to PR intern at the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills. This year she is active in her sorority Delta Gamma, Dance in Flight, her local church community, and enrolled in beginning surfing class. Danielle loves black and white photography, ultimate Frisbee, line dancing at Borderline, writing poetry, snowboarding, and reviewing your resume.
Allyson Diaz
A senior majoring in International Studies (Management) and minoring in Hispanic Studies, Allyson is very excited to be serving as a Career Ambassador. Besides fulfilling basic Career Ambassador duties, she is also the Mentor Coordinator and works to connect current and past Waves to professionals in their fields of interest to set up a mentorship or even informational interviews. Allyson also will be participating in the Career Coaching Program offered through the Career Center, and hopes to volunteer with programs in the Volunteer Center. She loves to run, be outdoors, spend time with friends and family, and eat good food.
Lauren Herr
Lauren is majoring in Media Production with a minor in Multimedia Design. Lauren worked as a marketing intern in Washington DC during the second half of her Freshman year. Her Sophomore year was spent abroad in London, England, where she worked with a fashion designer for London Fashion Week. Now a Junior, Lauren is very excited to be taking lots of creative classes back on Pepperdine's main campus and to be working with other students in the Career Center. Lauren's main interests include fashion, traveling, photography, singing, hanging out with friends, and going to the beach.
Chyra Howlett
Chyra is currently a Junior at Pepperdine majoring in Integrated Marketing Communications with a minor in French. She recently came back from studying abroad in Lausanne, Switzerland for the year and is excited to be back in lovely Malibu. Along with being a Career Ambassador Chyra helps oversee the promotion of Career Center services and events. She and the other Career Ambassadors want to make sure the student body is aware of all resources available so that everyone can utilize them as much as possible. Apart from the Career Center Chyra is involved with on-campus organizations such as Gamma Phi Beta and Black Student Association. In her free time she enjoys reading and watching movies in French as well as going to Disneyland with friends. Submitting a Resume for Review The Career Center understands that students have busy schedules, thus there are multiple avenues for submitting a resume. Before you begin, please feel free to review our information on resume writing on the Seaver Career Center Website. Online Submission: A student can email their resume online by sending their resume electronically to careerambassador@pepperdine.edu. A Career Ambassador will review your resume and respond as quickly as possible. Walk-in Hours: The Career Ambassadors are available to assist students in resume writing and revision during walk-in hours Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm.
