Help a Wave in the Los Angeles Area

Mock Interviews

Volunteer to prepare students for job interviews by asking your toughest questions and offering constructive feedback. During the fall and spring semesters, mock interviews are scheduled once a month on Friday mornings on the Malibu campus. To learn more, email the Alumni Career Services Coordinator, Lindsay Coburn.

Hang 10 Dinners

Volunteer to host up to 10 students in your home for a dinner party to share stories, pass on traditions, and invest in the lives of students. You can even invite a favorite faculty or staff member to join in. Learn more here

Night2Network

Volunteer to share your insight on an industry panel that provides students with a new perspective on your career field. During the fall and spring semesters, Nights2Network are scheduled once a month in the evenings on the Malibu campus. See dates and sign up here. 

Help a Wave Around the Nation

Informational Interviews

Volunteer to share your insight and experience with alumni and students interested in your career field. This is a valuable service to alumni seeking a career change and students seeking to enter a career field, and both needing an insider perspective. Job Shadowing

Volunteer to welcome a student to observe the day-to-day realities of your career field. Through observation in a professional setting, students are able to investigate a career field, clarify career goals and interests, and function within a work environment.Typical job shadow duration is 2-4 days, and most occur during spring break.
