Studying abroad in London was one of the best experiences of my life. In addition to spending an amazing year traveling Europe with my friends, my Pepperdine experience in London was a unique academic encounter that brought to life, through field trips and activities, the history, culture, and locations I had studied in the classroom. I was able to explore the British Museum and see the various sculptures and artifacts of Roman emperors, with my professors guiding me through the stories of this period. My English professor didn't just present us with Chekhov, he took us to London's famed West End to see a production of The Seagull, one of the many productions we both studied and viewed. With field trips to Egypt and Greece, Pepperdine brought me to places already rich with culture and made sure I didn't miss the history and lessons that surrounded me.
