Transfer applicants are included in the regular Fall and Spring
admission process. Admission to Pepperdine University is based on the
student's personal and academic records. All available information is
considered including school records, evidence of academic maturity
and personal character, extracurricular activities, and general
contributions to school and community. We are committed to building
the best possible incoming class of students through a holistic and
comprehensive review process.
Am I a “Transfer” Student?
All students are welcome to apply for admission to Pepperdine
University at any time; however, a specific designation is made in
regard to whether a student is considered a transfer
applicant for admission purposes. Students who have completed 30 or
more units of college work at the time of application will be
considered transfer students in the admission process. This
distinction means transfer applicants will be evaluated on their
college academic records and extracurricular activities, as opposed to
their high school records. Transfer students are still required to
submit a final high school transcript, but they are not required to
submit test scores. All students who are applying as transfers with
less than 30 completed units will still be considered and may still
transfer their course work; however, they will be considered freshman
applicants or international student applicants and should return to
Application
Procedures for further information.
Do I need to transfer units?
All applicants who would like their prior college coursework
applied towards their Pepperdine degree must transfer the units by
completing the required steps on the
Application Procedures page.
Transferring Courses
Students who are interested in comparing their past, current, and
future course work with the requirements of Pepperdine University should
check
the General Education Requirements page
and the Academic
Catalog.
Furthermore, all admitted transfer students will receive a Degree
Audit Report (D.A.R.) that will explain which units will need to be completed
at Seaver College. For more information, please visit the
Academic
Advising Web site.
