Admission

Fall 2010 Applicants

Please read all instructions below.

Our office is busy working overtime to process and file all of the application materials that have recently been submitted. We have dozens of mail bins filled with thousands of transcripts, letters of recommendation, and other supporting materials. Each supporting document must be processed, logged, and matched to the appropriate applicant.

Given the workload for each supporting document, we request that you do not send multiple copies of application materials as this will delay our ability to process your application file. Instead, please verify that these items were submitted by checking with the individuals you have requested to recommend you or any school sending transcripts.

What happens next?

For those of you who have recently submitted applications, here is what to expect:

On or before March 1, 2010, you will receive an e-mail from our office. It is our goal to have all materials processed by this date, however this is dependent on the number of applications and documents we receive. If we do not reach this goal, we will notify you with an updated estimated timeline. If we do reach this goal, you will receive one of two e-mails:

  • Application Complete Confirmation E-mail: If your application file is complete and includes all required application materials, you will be notified that your file is ready for review by the Admission Committee.
  • Application Incomplete E-mail: If your file is missing item(s) after all the mail has been processed, you will be e-mailed further instructions.

Contacting Us

As have received a great volume of paper and electronic mail, it can take several weeks before we have logged and matched all of the application documents. Please do not be concerned if you do not hear from us regarding the status of your application, and please do not call (or e-mail) to check your status. Instead, please check your WaveNet account To Do List regularly and watch your e-mail box for further information from our office. Until we catch up on processing the mail, we will not be able to answer your question, and every moment we spend on the phone is time we cannot spend managing these documents.

Now that you have submitted your application, we know you are anxious to be notified of its status. Thank you for your patience during this time, and thank you again for your application to Pepperdine University—we are excited to review your application file.
